June Editorial
Welcome to June,
the year is half way done and it has been exceedingly cold here in Wollongong. Don’t despair we have quality content to keep you warm and entertained this month.
Mediums for June include; poetry, gouache paintings, visual art, and, visual poetry. As well as some bonus work on Patreon along with our Creator Interviews. Don’t forget all the good stuff in our Digital Zine Marketplace for you to snuggle up with on these cold winter afternoons.
Culture Bank Grant
I’m excited to tell you all that Baby Teeth has been awarded a generous grant from Culture Bank Wollongong, a community funded organisation which provides funding to local organisations. I’m am so grateful to know that folks out their appreciate what we do here at Baby Teeth enough to support us financially. I’m excited to be able to work with the community on cool projects like this.
The project this grant is for, is pending on the results of another grant application which may provide the bulk of the funding. But we don’t want to leave you in the dark on this so I’ll just say that we hope to create a print anthology specifically for unpublished and emerging local writers.
More on this once the ball is rolling.
July Feature Submissions Are Open
We love sharing weird/experimental works on Baby Teeth, if there’s a piece you feel doesn’t fit the bill anywhere PLEASE let us have a look at it.
We’ve recently updated the Submissions Guidelines a bit, make sure you read them carefully before hitting send.
Our Call Out Poster this month is by the brilliant Myles Cooley, give him a follow on Facebook and Instagram, and check out From The Gong another great community for local artists and creatives.
As always, it would be amazing of you to share the poster around with all the creative types you know. We’ll see you soon with some visual poetry.
