Time enough for Love

A collage of an old French street map with a large distorted checkerboard creating a viewpoint from the centre of the image. Text from multiple sources forms the poem as transcribed below.

Transcription:

I think strongly preconceived can affect perceptions

I was obsessive, like a machine whose handle needed to be cranked

Fallen prey to the same vicious attacks of judgement

It took more than a year to explain conditioned behaviour

But once the scales of dogma had dropped from my eyes

The picture of conditioning itself relinquished its self mocking pose

It is time enough for love

Untitled

Transcription:

A day in a fog of sleepiness

By accident, falling suddenly at a very slow rate

The sensation of a pattern of light on the retina

The moment is eternal

Before time and the tide of responsibilities and worries

Wholly unaware of the world

We traverse a broad landscape of energy

Everyday rules of thought and behaviour don’t seem to apply

Relatively complex dreaming teaches us it’s small lessons

Emotions can be touched

They are the size of a big city

The planet undergoes a metamorphosis

The universe dissolved

And the uninterrupted brain blew itself to glory
