July Editorial
Baby Teeth turns one this month!
That’s right it’s our birthday, the first publication went up on this little website on July 2nd 2018. Now lets not think about how that was a year ago and get swept up by the existential dread caused by the unstoppable forwards march of time. We’re here to celebrate a year of existing!
July is a visual poetry heavy month, but we’re not complaining. Poetry and art, that’s two things instead of one thing. But we’ll also have some non visual poetry and collage for you to enjoy.
Society City Fundraiser
Baby Teeth is one part of a local arts collective which established a space in the heart of Wollongong for conscious creativity and community. We were lucky to be part of a program that gave us the space rent free for the first few months. However we now need to fork up the cash or lose the home we’ve worked so hard to create.
We’re trying to raise a years’ worth of rent so that we can keep the doors open and focus on building and supporting our community, instead of worrying about how to afford to stay in the building each week.
Read more about the campaign and about Society City on the Chuffed Page. Every little really helps. Please share the campaign with the philanthropic folks in your life.
Society City is also on Facebook and Instagram, or if you’re around town pop in to 274 Crown Street between 12-6PM Monday to Saturday and say hello!
August Submissions are Open!
And they’ll close on Monday July 22nd.
Our call out poster this month is by the amazing Sophie Wigan, who you might know from the Narellan Poetry Slam posters.
Patreon
Here’s the part of the editorial where I thank all of our wonderful Patrons on Patreon! You guys are the reason Baby Teeth has reached it’s first birthday and I am in awe of you every dang day.
